Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.
The concept of Greggs makes my mouth water. The taste of pastries and cookies. And I don’t gain weight from the food because of a medical condition I have. I can eat as much as I want, and nobody can stop me

Brilliant Greggs chain. Staff are helpful and friendly. Great, tasty and quick food on the go. Always a great selection of sweet treats and bakes. Latte is excellent and the Belgian buns are so sweet and delicious. I also really like their baguettes and they do an excellent brew too! ☕️

I’ve just been to Greggs to get a pepperoni pizza for my child. They looked all fresh. First, there was nobody from staff. The young girl showed up after few minutes. I didn’t look when she was getting my pizza packed. After 2 min I look inside and noticed the pizza is old, cold and dry. That’s not very good customer service. There were at least 4 freshly baked, hot ones. I wonder if that lady would eat a cold pepperoni pizza. It happened at 2:35pm. I don’t think I will back there again.

Placed order on justeat. Got call to say they didn't have an item in stock but only had alternatives I didn't want. Asked them to cancel it and the lass claimed they can't cancel them which isn't true. I told them they would have to as I won't as they were trying to dodge a cancel from their end. Ended the call and they could cancel their end as they did. Won't be using them again as the attitude of the lass stank

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
