  I often find shopping here very pleasant & convenient. Staff are always polite & efficient & this shop invariably has what I need for a reasonable price. Club Card often saves me money which helps.

  Tesco Express, 42–46 Crouch St, Colchester CO3 3HH I have visited this store three times recently, and unfortunately each visit has been disappointing. On my latest visit, I was using the self-service checkout and had a “wait for assistance” issue when scanning bananas. I stood there waiting for over 6 minutes. A member of staff could clearly see me waiting, but instead of helping, he continued serving other customers at the main till. He served around three customers, and still no one came to assist me. Another staff member, who appeared to be on a break, even told him that customers were waiting at self-service. Despite this, I had to wait another 2 minutes and still no one came to resolve the issue. This problem could have been fixed in seconds, but it was ignored. I also work in retail as a manager, so I understand how important customer service is. The way this situation was handled is not acceptable, especially as this is not the first time I’ve had issues here. Tesco should provide better staff training, especially on customer awareness, responsiveness, and how to treat customers with basic respect. Very disappointed with the service
