About

BakeryGreggs
We’re best known for our iconic bakes, fresh sandwiches, delicious hot drinks and sweet treats. Over eighty years ago, John Gregg started out with one goal: to deliver (by pushbike) fresh eggs and yeast to the families of Newcastle. Ten years later, he chained up his bike and opened Greggs of Gosforth. Since then, we’ve opened more and more shops and have become something of a Nation’s sweetheart. Our menu has also changed with the nation’s taste. Long-standing Greggs fans among us may even remember the olden days before the hotly debated Vegan Roll, or our refreshing iced drinks. Whether you’re into a hot sandwich, a pasta salad, some delicious chicken goujons or a fresh cold sandwich – our meal deals are doing the most in a mouth-watering way. Bundle on whichever side takes your fancy. We’re talking crispy Southern Fried Potato Wedges, a classic bag of crisps, protein-packed egg pots, fruit pots or creamy yoghurt. Plus, grab a drink to top it all off. From a classic Latte or a Mocha to a Raspberry Lemonade or a crisp Iced Mango & Strawberry Cooler – it’s yours. Pre-order on Click + Collect to skip the queue like a VIP, or get what you want delivered to your door via Just Eat or Uber Eats. Whichever way you have it - there’s definitely one thing better than a Greggs – and that’s a FREE Greggs. The Greggs App has never been tastier. Packed full of seriously stomach-rumbling news, rewards and ways to order – it really is the inner circle for all things yummy. Plus, it’s a sure-fire way to bag some free treats - and who doesn’t love a free treat?

Horrible customer service, Walked in and was told to sit in a different area due to cleaning in progress (not specified) then told to move and did. I spoke to my friend and spoke about the food and then the MANAGER said “Why are you taking the p word out of me, to which I responded we are not. Then she asked us 5 times if we were buying something and we responded that we were trying to sort out something ok the Gregg’s app. She then told us to to get the f word out of her store. Then we did and then I called the Gregg’s Bracknell website and I spoke to them about my complaint. Then I walked back in the bakery and they were laughing about someone calling and leaving a complaint and all they were doing was laughing and making jokes. I then asked how to write a review and for the managers name. They then called security and we spoke to them about the issue. The language displayed was terrible, HOT chocolate was cold and the atmosphere was horrible. The so called manager of the stir should hold higher standards but instead was immature and inappropriate. I have never gone into a restaurant and experienced this before. Highly UNRECOMMENDED. My friend bought something and was still kicked out. Time:6:40 Date:21/02/2026

I was a regular customer at greggs in the lexicon. I have noticed that the overall experience at greggs has declined over the last few months. The food quality has worsened. I have noticed flies in the pastry and dessert section. The shop itself is dirty which is probably a contributing factor. The food itself is off putting as of late. My main concern is the level of service. There have been numerous times where other customers and myself have been waiting in a queue for over 15 minutes. This is due to the staff being unnatentive and seemingly distracted when there are customers queuing. I would hope that the greggs management would look at this. Highly disapointing as this is a popular and (should be) quick take away.

It’s such a shame as I love Greggs, and this store has really been a let down, I attended Thursday 29th Jan, quickly popped in for a steak bake before they were closing. I was sternly advised that it was 2 mins until closing, I queried whether I was allowed to make a purchase, the server was reluctant to do so. With a moody demeanour. After I was polite in thanking her, she abruptly went “right we closed” as I was taking my steak bake. To be honest I’ve not come across this unprovoked unprofessionalism. I’m hoping that Greggs can address this with Chloe to make for a more welcoming environment for customers, as it ruined my evening.

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
