Amazing food but floor staff seemed a little stressed out they were still kind but it made it slightly uncomfortable to ask for things even as simple as water

Visited here for a nice meal, we always used TGI Fridays for special occasions. The staff were friendly & helpful, and there wasn't a long queue for food. Sadly the letdown was the food, charging just short of £20 for a burger & fries and £9.50 for mozzarella dips. The burger was charcoaled and black, you could barely recognise the meat. The mozzarella planks were also overdone and cheese was popping out the sides. I did let the waiter know, who kindly changed it all over. But on the 2nd attempt, the burger meat was black, overcooked far too much, and same for dippers. Anyone would think they gave me back the same food. I can't fault the server, but after 2 attempts at getting my food wrong I gave up and called it quits. Big thanks to the friendly staff though :-)

I think my experience in TGI fridays in Bournemouth 20th November 2025 was the absolute worst restaurant experience i have ever had.
I realise it was the christmas lights period, but its not like its a surprise, its been happening for many years now.
We arrived and it was not even that busy at the time.
We ordered our food and drink reasonably quickly.
Our son's basic meal then arrived after about 25 mins - that was great 😃.
My watch then reminded me to get up, so we had been sat there an hour, and by now my son finished his meal - bare in mind hes an incredibly slow eater.
We sat another 15 mins, and im a patient man, but i asked where our meal is - no actual responce from our server, but they walked over and finally revealed our meal to us.
A couple of bites in, everything is stone cold , its been sat that whole time (i guess whist they finish somthing?)
No apologies, nobody even asked to refill drinks that whole time.
Complained to the server, again no apologies, just that the manager would deal - 5 more mins, no manager, just a bill for the food and drink we consumed.
Staff were all stood around waiting for food, so i think theres enough serving staff, but the real bottleneck is clearly the number of staff or the efficiency of the kitchen.
I would avoid completely for weekends in November whist the Christmas lights are on.
I honestly couldn't belive it, we travelled att that way and wasted an hour and a half.
We walked back to the xmas market, and had a pork roll in less than 5 mins.

Please note that orders can only be cancelled if your collection time is at least one hour in the future. If it is less than an hour until your collection time, please call the restaurant at which you placed the order. They will ask for your order number, and once your details have been confirmed our team will process your refund. The money will then be credited back to your account within three to four working days.
Do you have Vegan & Vegetarian dishes?
We offer a range of vegetarian and vegan options, which can be found on our menu pages. Please be assured that we take necessary steps to avoid cross contamination in our kitchens. However, it is not possible to guarantee that dishes are 100% free from inadvertent traces of non-vegan or non-vegetarian substances as we produce vegan dishes and meat dishes in the same kitchen.
