Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

I wish I could give this Greggs a zero star rating but you can’t do that so I will give it a 1 star, and I can tell you right now the only star in this Greggs was me when I was in there.
I had the absolute misfortune of visiting this Greggs, and honestly, I’m still emotionally recovering.
I walked in with what I would describe as a perfectly reasonable amount of enthusiasm for baked goods—nothing wild, just the energy of someone who knows they’re about to eat some mac & cheese with spicy BBQ chicken bites. I approached the counter, smiled, said hello, and… that’s when it happened.
The cashier looked at me like I’d just cartwheeled in screaming show tunes and said, “ew, that’s way too much energy for me.”
I’m sorry??? Since when is basic human interaction considered an extreme sport??
From that moment on, everything was tainted. My Mac & cheese was stone cold and watery tasting. The chicken bites were undercooked and so to top off this top notch “experience” all I was left with was disbelief, sadness and a tummy ache.
I didn’t realise ordering dinner required me to emotionally tone it down to “Sad Victorian child ghost wandering a hallway,” but apparently that’s the vibe here.
Would I go back? Absolutely not.
Final verdict: 0/10 — would not recommend to a friend. WORST GREGGS EVER.

The baguettes are regularly super dry and I would describe as overcooked. But I don’t understand why when everywhere has the same guidance. Speaking about it though the ovens themselves could be different. You could have differences within the shelves.
Is an extremely busy store so be careful you don’t get queue jumped on weekends. normally at the sandwich counter to pick a sandwich you don’t lose your queue place but there you do. So just go with the flow you will get served eventually (with large delivery orders, board in store orders and click and collect individual orders) also having high volume). They cope with as their normal
Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.
What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling ÂŁ450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
