  Decent-ish Tesco. Sells everything you need, staff are pretty poor, especially on the self checkout, they’re quite rude and can’t cope under pressure.

  A good tesco store, not as big as the one up the road in altrincham but still has lots of choice and variety. The staff are also good and really helpful.

  Today, on May 14, 2026, at around 7:06 PM, I visited Tesco and bought a scale and two lottery tickets. The cashier working at the customer service section did not give me a receipt. I politely asked for it, but she responded with an angry attitude and insisted that she had already given it to me. At that moment, I was only holding the lottery tickets in my hand. I even checked my wallet and confirmed that I had not received any receipt. When I calmly explained this, she stared at me aggressively and repeatedly said in a loud and angry tone, “I gave you the receipt.” I then asked her if she was upset, because of the way she was speaking to me, and she started shouting, saying “I’m not angry” several times. I explained to her very politely that even if she believed she had already given me the receipt, she could simply print another one instead of reacting aggressively. Unfortunately, her behavior remained rude and hostile throughout the interaction. I was honestly very disappointed. I have lived in the UK and never experienced such disrespectful customer service before.
