  Chloe was our waitress who was a delight service with a smile and couldnt fault her being ontop of everything ant was a star when it came to any querys and both great when it came to my allergies You honestly have a great team here and exceptional service Thank-you for making a diffrence

  I went here for the first time in a while yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised! The food tastes not only delicious, with quick service we had the pleasure to be served by a lovely, young lady named Damiah. She was so funny, and made the whole experience 10x more memorable! Will definitely be coming back because of this. Thank you Damiah🙏🏼🩷

  My husband and I took my son here for his birthday. Our experience was not good, after driving for over forty minutes on the motorway to get to TGi in Lakeside. The food was not made with love, was only warm and the portion sizes were astonishingly small considering the price. It's evident that both food and service has gone downhill. I have no doubt why the branches are closing down. I do not recommend this restaurant.

  Start with the good. Atmosphere was good. OK music. Clean as staff was clearing tables pretty quick. The drinks were good the misses enjoyed her cocktail. Misses starter was OK. Now the not so good. I had a bruschetta starter. Not to sure why they would put a few shavings of cheese on top. Never used to from the times I have eaten at tgi in the past. Most other places I have it aswell it does not come with a cheese on it. I asked for no cheese on my main burger... Maybe should realise no cheese.... As for my main meal I had the whiskey glazed burger. The burger was overcooked and very dry. It should have come with tomatoes, bacon, gherkin, onion and lettuce. However mine just had onion and lettuce. I did question about the bacon. Which then came out on a separate plate. Still missing the tomato and gherkin. The bun was soaked in the whiskey sauce. So it was more a glazed bun rather than the burger. On the plate was this burger was chips. That's it. £19 for a burger and chips that I could have gone to McDonald's and got similar for less than half the price of tgi. Next the misses main, the chicken was very dry. She ordered from the special menu at the time yet on the main menu her meal said it came with coleslaw. It didn't. It came with corn on the cob chopped up which had some sauce on it that had a bit of a kick. At one point I did question the waiter if we had the correct meals. He said yeah that's it. Asked something else and he literally said well I don't know what else to say. This is one of our local tgi Fridays being 2 in the area. But I won't be going back to this one again. Not very impressed with the food there and the price for what you get well over priced.

  I’m very late leaving this review as this visit was back in January 2026, but I recently found the receipt and immediately remembered the experience like it was yesterday. Jodie R was genuinely one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had, EASILY in my top three. From the moment we walked through the door, she made us feel welcome, found us great seats, and looked after us throughout the entire meal. There was a small mix-up with one of our dishes, but Jodie handled it quickly, professionally, and without any fuss. Mistakes happen anywhere, but it’s how they’re dealt with that matters, and she couldn’t have managed it any better. The food was great, but the service honestly made the whole experience even better. It was also my birthday week, and Jodie took the time to engage in conversation and make the experience feel personal rather than just another table to serve. Those little interactions can make a huge difference, and they certainly did for us. I remember she mentioned she was taking part in some kind of competition within the team at the time, and I genuinely hope she won!! The fact that I’m writing this review over five months later, simply because I found the receipt and remembered how great the experience was, says everything. I rarely leave reviews let alone a detailed review of dining experience from ages ago, but exceptional service deserves recognition, and I sure hope that anyone in the team reading this will ensures Jodie. R gets her flowers. A HUGEEE thank you to Jodie (and the team) at TGI Fridays Lakeside for creating such a memorable experience.
