  Having lived in the area for over a year, I originally chose this supermarket because it’s convenient and close to other shops in Madeley. Unfortunately, over that time I’ve experienced consistently poor customer service and an overall disappointing shopping experience. From being approached by beggars outside the store, to encountering rude and unhelpful staff, there always seems to be some issue. On several occasions I’ve been left wondering whether customer service is even a priority here. Today’s visit was by far the worst. The lack of staffed checkouts resulted in unnecessary queues and frustration. I was even told by a member of staff that fewer tills are opened to encourage customers to use the self-service checkouts instead. Whether that’s official policy or not, it certainly feels as though customer convenience is no longer the priority. The overall impression is that the store simply doesn’t care about providing a good customer experience. Sadly, I now avoid shopping here whenever possible and would recommend others consider the alternatives in the area

  I ordered a grocery delivery on 13th of June for delivery on 14th June. Included was an avocado ‘spread’. It arrived on time. I assumed everything was in date. However, the avocado dish had an eat by date of 10th June. I found this out after eating half. I threw the rest away, but have had sickness & diarrhoea all week. Not good enough, Tesco! Carol Jones

  Disappointing with some basic items not in stock and then when we needed assistance at the self scan checkouts the staff member was holding a personal conversation with a customer/friend but despite looking at us twice didn't break away from their conversation and left us to fend for ourselves. Poor from a business like Tesco.
