  Walked In at 2.24pm for a booking at 2.30pm it was Near enough empty, after we were seated nearly 5 sets out of 6 cutlery were filthy with food on them still! Had to ask if we had to order at bar or table service after waiting ten minutes Drinks took nearly 15 minutes When food came I had to ask for the peppercorn sauce that supposedly came with the steak sampler and I had to ask for the extra blue cheese sauce I’d ordered on top which was horrid, freezing cold like it was out the fridge and tasted like gone off mayonnaise always have steak with blue cheese sauce never ever in my life have I been served it freezing cold it was foul. Burger over cooked and had to ask twice for sauces. Kids cheese pizza with next to no cheese on it at all so child refused to eat it. Kids beef Sunday dinner which the beef was entirely red which wasn’t mentioned to us and isn’t stated on the menu in the description as my child doesn’t eat meat with blood still dropping, and the meat and Yorkshire pudding were both stone cold so wasn’t eaten any way. Stacked up our plates as always to make it easier for staff, had to ask for a dessert menu and after ordering it took staff 16 minutes to remove dirty plates. A few tables around the restaurant were still filthy, not set up for the duration of our visit. Even sat a couple at a table that wasn’t set up and had no cutlery on while we were here. Toilet paper on the stairs leading to ladies toilets and on the ladies toilet floor, cubicle I went in barely had any toilet paper in the dispenser and the state of inside the toilet was horrid, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for a few days. We weren’t asked if we’d like any more drinks by at any point. We weren’t given cutlery for our deserts after waiting 26 minutes for ice cream desserts and a fudge cake who I presume to be the manager said they were struggling to keep up but there was no more than 30 people, the restaurant was no where near half full! Service was shocking so cancelled desserts and then when we get the bill the contactless doesn’t work to use my phone so had to get my purse from the car. Ball ache and after visiting this place two years ago and it being a complete shambles and awful then we thought we’d give it a second go but never ever again, expensive food for cold parts of meals and awful service

  Waited nearly 45 minutes and when food arrived was very disappointed, wife's burger had an onion bhaji on top which was stone cold in the middle, another burger had bacon on top that was barely cooked and my salad looked like it'd been left sitting for days. Spoke to manager and got nothing but excuses, seemingly salads supposed to be brown according to the dirty unprofessional looking "manager", the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly in weeks to the point my wife had to clean the disabled toilet before she could use it, yet again more excuses were handed out and barely an apology in sight, would of been better going to McDonalds accross the road. Watched a waiter pick stuff off the floor then proceed to dry cutlery without washing his hands to which I was told he doesn't use his hands to dry them?!?!? If your going out for a meal avoid this place at all costs disgusting food and service 1 star is way to high for this dump!

  What can I say but had high hopes for the place and food ? Very nice staff but for what you pay ? Very small handful of chips with the steaks and then did'nt have the " prawn n lobster topping " Lucky we had forty per cent of vouchers or it would have cost a fortune , glad to say that things have now changed from are first visit ! A menu for daytime offers now and definitely improved now on everything
