  Extremely disappointing and humiliating customer service – Subway, Westquay Shopping Centre, Southampton, Store code: 60389 On Sunday, 12 July, between approximately 4:43 pm and 4:55 pm, I had what was genuinely the worst customer service experience I have ever had at the Subway in Westquay Shopping Centre, Southampton. I joined the queue at around 4:40 pm and waited patiently while the lady serving could clearly see me standing there. When it was finally my turn, she suddenly told me they were no longer serving because it was 5:00 pm. I explained that it was still only around 4:48 pm and that I had been waiting in the queue well before then. She simply replied that she hadn't seen me waiting and insisted that, according to her watch, it was 5:00 pm. I asked for her name because I wanted to raise a complaint with Subway customer services about her rude and dismissive behaviour, but she refused to tell me. To make matters worse, while she claimed the tills had already been switched off, another customer came in to buy drinks and she served them using the same till right in front of me. That left me feeling embarrassed, humiliated and completely ignored. I felt being discriminated. I was with my wife and children enjoying a family day out, and this incident completely spoiled the end of our day. It wasn't simply that I wasn't served—it was the way I was treated, with no empathy, no apology and no respect. I have always enjoyed Subway, but after this experience I genuinely don't feel confident returning. I sincerely hope management investigates this incident and provides additional customer service training, as no customer should be treated this way.

  At 8:40am on 28th May 2026 I got served (or was going to be served by) an indian lady. I put an order through because I saw the ordering screens were on and working. The woman proceeded to come out the back of the store and started to ask me why I ordered even though the shop is closed. This was not known to me as all I had seen is that the screens were on and my order WENT THROUGH. She then was talking back to me every time I was questioning why the screens were on if the shop was closed, almost like she was blaming me. Absolutely horrendous. If she had explained it to me nicely I would have looked past it, but her attitude was anything but nice.

  Worst service ever. Staff didn't give a monkeys. Food was rubbish. Machines to order didn't work properly. My suggestion avoid and go elsewhere.
