  This is my favourite supermarket. I’ve shopped here for years. And can I give a special mention to Jo and Jane on the self service checkouts. They are friendly, courteous and a credit to the store.

  I had a very disappointing experience with customer service at this Tesco Superstore. I recently made a purchase using the self-service checkout, with a total bill of £72. Unfortunately, I made a mistake while scanning items—I accidentally scanned two packs of Tesco 500g cornflour (£2.55 each), but I did not take any of them and returned both to the shelf before completing my purchase. On 10/04/2026 at around 19:05, I visited the customer service desk to explain the situation and request a refund for the items I was charged for but did not take. However, I was told that nothing could be done. The response felt dismissive, and I was treated with suspicion rather than as a genuine customer trying to correct an honest mistake. I was particularly disappointed that no effort was made to verify the situation, especially considering systems like stock tracking or CCTV that could potentially confirm what happened. As a result, I lost £5.10 and left feeling upset and undervalued as a customer. Unfortunately, this experience has put me off returning to this store in the future.
