They still had 15 minutes before they shut and it takes 2 minutes to warm up a baguette! We decided to put everything back and go to Wenzels instead. The woman at the counter should not be working there or in retail. She has no clue what customer service is, disgusting attitude. Reported to wider customer csre team, hope they do something and this member of staff might learn some humility and what customer service is.

Since it’s not on my usual route, I’d never been here before, but I’m so glad I did. The moment I walked up to the counter, I was greeted with a genuine smile—honestly, that feels like a rarity these days. What really touched my heart was watching the staff member in the next line interact with a little boy ordering with his mom. She was so patient and kind to him; seeing the boy so happy truly warmed my soul and turned my whole day around. Five-star staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you for the great mood!

This seems to be the accepted standard of customer service from Greggs, across the three branches (in different towns) I have visited recently. Will purchase my lunch from elsewhere when I am next in town.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
