Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

I ordered lunch from this Walton Greggs through the Just Eat app, including mozzarella and cheddar bites. Unfortunately, the cheese bites were missing from my order, despite me being charged for them.
I called the store expecting them to help resolve the issue by either arranging for me to collect the missing item, taking my order details and offering a replacement another day, or at least discussing the matter with a manager. Instead, I was told to place a completely new order for the cheese bites and have them delivered again.
What was most disappointing was that there was no apology whatsoever for the missing item or the inconvenience caused. The staff showed no interest in taking ownership of the mistake and offered no practical solution beyond telling me to place another order.
The item had already been paid for and was missing because of an error on their side, so I don't understand why I should have to place another order to receive something I had already purchased.
Very poor customer service and a frustrating experience from start to finish. I won't be ordering from this branch again.

What happens to your leftover food?
Weâve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though weâve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling ÂŁ450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
Weâre no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
