  No staff and when one appeared just said there was no bookings available on a Saturday night. We came back an hour later and they only had 1 couple. Tables left uncleaned and food and mess on the tables. Bar staff had a bad attitude when finally appeared.

  Visited for a pint, on arrival we were succumb by the scent of roast meat, so we ordered our drinks and food at the bar. The staff was very friendly and helped with the order. We then went into the garden to enjoy our drinks, 35 minutes passed and we had finished our drinks. I proceeded back to the bar for another round of drinks, was about half way through our drinks and I said to my wife that by the time we finish our drinks and if our food haven't arrived we would leave. A minute or two later the food arrived, my wife's steak although she ordered well done this was beyond that. We suspect that our food was held under the heat lamp for some time before it was realised. My short rib was luke warm as was the potatoes

  Went to Beafeater with my daughter and my wife their food was really nice. I had the fish and chips and the fish was disgusting. I was told it was haddock no way it had a pinky colour with an unpleasant aftertaste

  I was very disappointed with the sad looking meal that was placed in front of me today. I expected more than a few pale chips a piece of chicken with just loads of melted cheese a sorry salad a consisted of one slice of cucumber cut in half a quarter of a tomato and some lettuce finished off with two spoons of coleslaw. The service was also less than good. I asked for a sparkling water and was given still water. I walked in there with my dog and bought the water but when I went back in to order the food l, I was then told that dogs weren't allowed. All in all pretty bad.

  Visited today with my family for lunch, we ordered from the cheaper daytime mains menu. Good value for money, portions were spot on and the food was cooked well, hot and tasty. Perfect hot day for the refillable soft drinks! I have to give a special mention to our waitress Jackie. She was so lovely, not just to us but to all the customers. I used to visit somewhat regularly with my family but the last time I came and Jackie was working was roughly 7 years ago; however she remembered us and greeted us as old friends. What an absolute asset to this restaurant. She elevated a good experience into an excellent one.
