- SCSue Cory-Wrighttoday4.0We had a wake at the Red Lion and from the initial contact with bar manager, Josh, staff were great- attentive to detail and willing to accommodate our requests (where we wanted food and drinks served, display table etc). It was especially nice that we were allocated a section of the pub which adjoins the garden, as this was helpful for older guests when the noise levels became too much ( we had about 50 people there). Drinks were served very well and water and squash provided on tables. Wine was served as people arrived and staff were attentive The quiche and sausage rolls were excellent but sandwiches were disappointing. Very basic bread, cut into halves only and no garnish - quite dry, presentation lacking, and as I say, overall, disappointing. I would definitely recommend this venue for this kind of function, as the staff were excellent overall, but I would recommend this point (sandwiches are, after all, the ‘main’ dish at this kind of thing) be ‘re-thought’.considerably by the management
