  I really like esquires, really lovely coffee shop, love the coffee! i have been going there a lot recently instead of my usual favourite places and taking my children alot and they will have breakfast there ect I always scan my loyalty apps it's a habit of mine, so I loaded the esquires one before hand, I was very disappointed this morning in esquires in the high street as the woman who was serving has seen me quite a few times now coming in, this morning I ordered breakfasts and coffees and then told her i have loaded the app so now i will scan for points, it was taking a while to load and i kept apologising and saying sorry its taking a while she looked very fed up and kept roling her eyes up like i was taking up all the time in the world it then came on I said oh look then it went off again I had no luck with it i said oh its come on bearing in mind there were no customers or any que for her to rush me yet she was so unhelpful and just made me feel so uncomfortable that I left it in the end, I said to her I have been in here quite a lot and spent quite a lot of money and would like to collect points which is what I usually do in coffee shops. also no one in here has ever asked me to scan my loyalty as usualy every place always does. It was very poor customer service received from her and perhaps she would benefit from some customer service training and to be a little more understanding towards a customer if they need help.

  I’ve held off from leaving this review because I wanted to give them a chance thinking my first few experiences there were an anomaly. I understand its a high street coffee shop but for the prices charged the service is way off, it takes ages just to get a coffee order, frequently taken wrong and have had to argue to prove they have, the atmosphere and attitude from the staff is just so dull and makes the whole experience depressing, I’ve gone in multiple times for breakfast or brunch takeaways over £50 and have just been given my food in separate containers, ask for a bag or a cup holder and the staff are just standing around scratching their heads, somehow I keep going back as I’m literally your neighbour but I make an order and I feel like I have to hope pray and beg that I’ll be able to carry my order home, I’ve previously been told we only have small bags, again for the price I’m paying you’re telling me you can’t provide a bag or drinks tray that literally costs pennies, no apology from the staff no acknowledgement. Unfortunately this attitude spreads through the whole transaction process regardless of the situation and is a representation on the management of this business, if you weren’t next door I’d never come back.

  A great place for a coffee and a bite to eat. The two female baristas are efficient and fast. However, it’d be great if the service was with a smile and a cheerful face rather than a clinical look.
