- LLLeeApr 25, 20261.0Last month, I bought food which expired October last year! Brought back to the shop 1 week after, get told no receipt then no refund. I said the shop could find my receipt if I offer my bank transaction details. Got told, they only kept receipt for one week on their system. Looked like I was the strange one. I Asked them why sell expired food? Got answered human does make mistakes. But why do I get punished by their mistake? I trusted them, never check the date and never ask for receipt. Should I still trust any high street shores? Is it still UK? And today, I saw same thing happened to two boys again! They tried to brought back two packs of milk powder. Same story, got told off because not bringing receipt. But receipt should be not a problem in current technology. I felt so sorry for the young boys, as those two boxes milk powder cost at lest £30. They looked so disappointed. I would not go to this miserable shop as long as I have time to go to a further down shop.
