You can tell they are closing. The tech system went down and some staff didn't know what to do. This kept customers waiting. Felt sorry for them as they looked stretched. The breakfast next morning was much better and availability good. More staff were also visible.

Well we’ve been here before and stayed and rebooked premier next door because the beefeater here was so good in past ! Shocked by comparison to what we had this time the staff here was outstanding trying their best (obviously short staffed) the food ( a much smaller menu then advertised was shocking apart from breakfast time I’d stay clear. Iv heard they are closing so possibly why they don’t have normal chefs!
My son also left his jacket (birthday gift) and can’t get hold of anyone except a AI bot who answers the phone !
It’s a shame we come to longleat yearly and now put off booking premier inn again

Portion size was underwhelming, but the food was good.
The highlight was the staff service. We were waited on by Jess, and she was, frankly, awesome.
Engaging, humorous, genuinely interested in us, and with a wonderfully dry Witt. W’d eat here often, if se could guarantee that Jess would be working.
That isn’t to say anyone else wasn’t up to the same standard, we just didn’t engage with anyone else really.

Cold food, had to get up and ask staff to order, for food, to clear, bill etc.

Very poor showing. Food was worse than expected. Goujons where more like cheap nuggets. Burger was cold and really wasn't nice. Breakfast in morning I was greeted by very rude member of staff, who when checking the food area was touching all food with his hands and not with tongues provided.
