  Extremely rude security guard. I’m autistic and prefer to shop when it’s quiet. I had no idea the shop shut at 10pm. It was 9:57 and I was already on my way to the till to check out and the security guard startled me by shouting HURRY UP WERE CLOSING in my face. I went to the till and he followed me. He came over and took my bag off me after I scanned it and angrily threw it on the scales. I felt intimidated so I said next time don’t be rude. Don’t talk to me like that. He then called me an idiot multiple times and as I went to walk out the store he walked up close to me again to try and intimidate me. I’m a petite woman btw. Awful. The other staff defended him without even knowing the context

  Called this morning Saturday 20th June for shopping really good store plenty of choice both food & clothing the only reason for 4 stars & not 5 is I went to get flavoured water & there was a lot of flies on the shelving and bottles walking about would still go but definitely needs something done

  Decent Tesco. Plenty availability. Generally clean and tidy. Like every supermarket the home shopping pickers are everywhere and barge about like the own the aisles making shopping with a pram more difficult. Need to fix the high pitched whine from the speaker system over the clothing department!

  Could I please ask Tesco management at this Sunderland store, if they are going to put their colleagues on the help and support desk could they at least give them some formal training on how to engage positively with those who come into their store. I only enquired on how to obtain a Tesco clubcard and the response I got, on reflection, was quite negative and insulting. After this terse response the untrained colleague was still not going to help me out so I had ask a second time and was informed but with attitude. I honestly did not expect this and I don't think I will bother getting one now. Time and date of this unfortunate exchange Wed., 29.4.26 at approx 1400hrs. Thankyou.
