  My mother had a very poor experience at this tesco. Today one of the workers, a hijabi woman, discriminated against her the minute she walked inside solely because of her appearance and had the audacity to ask her "Are you putting something into your bag" while she was browsing aisles with her headphones in. For context, she was also listening to music with her headphones and her English isn't very good. Additionally, a police officer was present and she pointed to him saying "look the police is here", essentially asking if she stole something when she had absolutely no intention of doing so. When my mother told her she wouldn't come back, she nastily laughed in her face and said "it's fine". Very rude staff who I will be reporting soon. If you want customers, stop accusing people who you do not know the intentions of.

  Good stock. Staff are okay and there's a lot of general supplies, fresh food, frozen,and things for the fridge. Some dried food, drinks and alcohol but the fresh fruit can be a little pricey.

  UPDATE! After some time in excess of 2 years from the store opening the app finally now shows the correct store opening hours. Why did it take so long even with me sending feedback on the main Tesco website? The other recent disappointment was that neither of the receipt printers in the 2 self service tills had been working for a few months. It went way beyond a few weeks. It got way beyond acceptable that it took so long for this issue to be fixed. Also, now that some of the main issues have been fixed, I’m updating to 3 stars. The other irritation right now is the blanket template filling of local store information. In this instance, it relates to fuel facilities. As any local shopper will know, it doesn’t have any. See pic. Now back to the original review.: Great to see a new local store that can rival some of the nearby scruffy ‘locals’. However, the major downsides are the prices which are so much more than the nearby Extra. But, they are offering Clubcard Prices across various ranges which helps a bit. Additionally, the store might have only been open 10 days or so but it has already seen its first set of price increases. I guess it’s only going to cater for those emergency shops rather than your weekly shop which is a great shame and very disappointing, but unsurprising. For that reason alone, only 1 star. The shop itself, nicely laid out and very clean at the moment and worthy of 5 stars. Also of note at the time of writing was that the website and other listings state the store opens at 6.00am. IT DOES NOT! It opens at 6.30am which is verified by a poster at the store entrance. Despite all of this, the staff in store are very helpful. I’m just disappointed that due to Tesco’s incompetence I can’t give more than one star until they get their act together. I wonder how many other stores are showing the wrong hours? Answers on a postcard please…..
