Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.
Had difficulties paying due to the app being down, to which the staff member “Rowan” was very unhappy about. He told me there was a queue behind me, to which I responded I would exit the queue whilst I fix the app. He then reiterated there were people in the queue and exiting the queue was not an option, with more attitude and I couldn’t quite understand why he was so hostile towards me. The “queue” was two people who had literally just walked through the door, so I don’t understand why he was so stressed. Given his aggressive cleaning habits; slamming tables and chairs against the wall, I can only presume he was having a bad day, but still his attitude ruined my mood, and evening. Tables were dirty too, which I wouldn’t have cared about really if he hadn’t of ruined my mood.

went through the drive through at 4:45 on 3/7/26 and was told i need to wait 9 minutes for steak bakes and 10+ mins for a margarita pizza. i pull round to pay and whilst loading my app up i feel very rushed due to the machine being waved at me and the staff member speaking very fast. considering i need to wait 10 mins and no other cars behind me i didn’t find it necessary.

I went to to this gregg's restaurant for a light snack but what happened was DIOBOLICAL...
I entered the car park and was immediately greeted by a particularly hostile pigeon who then proceeded to slap me in the face with his wing.
I then brushed it of went inside to get a single medium rare steak beak...
As I was leaving ANOTHER pigion snatched It out of my hand then proceeded to drop a large bit of feaces onto my face and throw the pastry at my vehicle.
1/5 please get your birds under control.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
