Stayed at the premier in next door a few years ago and popped down for some dinner and was met with a right moody older woman.Nobody was at the point where we are supposed to stand and wait to be seated but there was loads of tables empty with plates not collected so after waiting a few minutes I went over to the “moody woman” who was just stood like a lemon and politely asked if a table could be cleared so we can be seated. Keep in mind they were all just ignoring us while we waited at the point and the place was basically empty apart from a few lads playing pool. She responded really snappily and aggressive made me feel wrong for asking for a table. Shit hole of a place anyway bar tender looked annoyed with her as if he knew what she’s like. From memory she had blonde hair. She didn’t even want to serve us and made a younger staff member do it. I did complain to head office and had received vouchers. But they couldn’t even tempt me to go back lol. Food wasn’t good either microwave type of food we weren’t expecting much food wise anyway but she just topped it off.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing experience at The Bridgewater Arms. We visited on a Saturday afternoon at around 2:45pm hoping to have food and drinks. The pub was completely empty—there wasn’t a single customer inside—yet we were refused because we hadn’t made a booking. I want to make it clear that the lady behind the bar was polite and explained this was a management rule, even saying she didn’t understand it herself. My issue is with the policy, not the staff. If tables were reserved for later, we would have happily accepted a time limit on our visit. Instead, we were simply turned away from an empty pub. It’s a very strange way to run a hospitality business, and unfortunately we took our custom elsewhere.

Had the trio of Indian nibbles as a starter and it had wonderful flavours and then the chicken tikka twist pizza as a main and all the vibrant flavours worked really well together. Service was very attentive and food came out quickly, it was even quite busy.

On a business trip. Service was quick and friendly. Food was OK. Slightly small portion but steak cooked well
