A great varied menu, friendly service and lovely atmosphere. All our meals were of a very high standard, very tasty and good value. Also a fantastic Negroni! Our neighbouring table also really enjoyed their food commenting that it was World Class’. A must try if you’re eating out in Ludlow. Enjoy.

Surprisingly good food with very fresh seafood. The king prawn and crab linguine was delicious, and the rack of lamb was juicy and full of flavour.
The food took a little while to arrive, but it was worth the wait. Thank you for a lovely meal! 😊

Popped in for a quick lunch. Glanced down a side road by the castle and saw a placard pointing down street to the pub.
So happy we came, sat in the very pretty court yard and had the drink and lunch menu for £13 each person. Excellent value. I had fish fingers sandwich which was on a huge sourdough roll. Hi baby had steak sandwich with chips (£2 extra). Very nice cheerful staff.Definitely going back.

Was looking for somewhere to eat after an afternoon of looking around Ludlow and having taken our dog for a much needed walk,And we happened to come across The Blue Boar. They were happy to take dogs in certain parts of the premises so we made ourselves comfortable at the rear in their very pleasant outdoor area. Its in a Lovely setting and with plenty of space between tables which is good especially if you have pets or small children around.
The food we all had really did hit the spot ! - I don't know how they make the mash potato with the steak pie which i had :-But it was delicious!
We all thoroughly enjoyed what we each had and also very punctual staff members too,who were pleasant to chat with,That is always a winner with us,so worth a shout out to them for sure.
Certainly a go to place as and when we visit Ludlow again.

Wonderful traditional old pub. Huge beams, fireplace and other original features but the food is the main feature. Restaurant level cooking with a varied menu. Dishes served with attention to detail made with good quality ingredients. Cannot praise enough. The calamari served with miso mayo was divine. Followed by goats cheese and hazelnut salad which was fresh and flavoursome. I opted for a small portion of the chocolate pot which was accompanied by a chunk of pistachio brittle and a refreshing mint tree. Also has a good cocktail menu. The Sevilla Negroni was spot on. A great meal worthy of high praise. Would recommend.
