  A very lively pub with a cosy traditional style. Kitchen closes at 8pm so we just missed out on the food but judging by the amount of people dining in, it should be good. Good selection of real ales and friendly staff.

  Weve been in three times now for a quick drink and every time weve had to deal with a rude bar man, never felt so unwelcome in my life. No hello, no thank you just a simple £32 to tell us how much. I dont often do reviews but when a young girl is waiting to use the toilet and he barges through the midde of her is just unacceptable. Will never return again.

  We really enjoyed our meal at the Blue Boar. Service was good, but we did feel a bit rushed, the staff seemed very keen for us order drinks then food. However, the food was very tasty 😋

  Visiting Ludlow, had lunch here and tried their Monday to Friday £13 lunch offer, had a drink and club sandwich and drink and croque monsieur. The food was delicious and staff friendly.

  The food was very tasty, we had Steak and Beef and Ale Pie. The reason why we didn’t give it a 5 Star is that my partner is Gluten Free and when we asked for Gluten Free Menu we were told we had to scan a QR code, which would take us to the allergen page on their website, but we had to sign into their cloud WiFi to be able access the website which meant I had to create an account, we found this very frustrating as a customer and inconvenient as it was hard to read too, you had to put your phone in landscape mode and you couldn’t see everything in one go, instead of just having a paper version in front of you would have been much more practical, as dishes were marked for vegetarians so why couldn’t you have followed with putting GF onto each dish or GFA? When we got to the menu there was not many options of GF dishes to even choose from, found this very poor in the day and age. This dampened things with the atmosphere as soon as we arrived. Maybe try getting the waiting on staff to smile more and as customers are leaving for all staff to say thank you or goodbye when making eye contact, as I looked up to the bar as we were leaving not one of you adults did so. Dessert options were few are far between too. As a highly recommended restaurant thought there would have been more choices.
