About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Went there around 8am still they give us cold cheese onion bake and roll on breakfast burger… asked them if they can reheat .. they told us NO we can’t do that…. It’s GREGGS issue they don’t provide microwave may be…. But it’s service problem as well…they should inform us that the food they giving us will be cold or room temperature…. Soo we will think twice to buy but we get to know after buying… then they not even take back food…. After 5 min they start serving fresh food….. if u want fresh food again u have to pay again ….total waste…its not about paying extra or more it’s always about service

Was good polite service by lady on counter, then on asking if could warm my cheese onion slice and another women cut in interrupting me saying that no they cook them they go on tray and what ever heat it is when we sell them that's what you get, and i was thinking the reason that Greg's have hot plate cabinets it to keep food that is made to eat warm to keep them warm to serve the advertised hot counter foods as warm foods, my hand felt cold chill picking my food up, and is second time at this Greg's it has occurred, maybe if the hot plate not keeping things hot the staff need to be given good equipment and be asked if anything to get to be it working and fixed, or them selves ask someone to come get it fixed instead of being rude and blunt to customers that just seeing if can have the food as its said should be that was expecting to be, ronseal it does exactly what it says on the tin,.!!

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
