Today I was barged out of the way by their newer staff members conducting click and collect trolley shops, with no idea of appropriate customer service, appropriate eye contact or behaviour. It got worse at the checkout when the extremely rude cashier (no 22) spoke to me in a highly inappropriate and unprofessional manner. She was accusatory regarding shoplifting, rude about a damaged product I chose not to purchase and aggressive. I was aghast when I left the checkout and she shouted 'rude' after me, whilst then disrespecting me to the next customer. I reported her disgraceful conduct to a 'front end Manager' who just laughed when I told him of my experience! I said HR should be informed of her disgraceful conduct to which he relied 'we don't have HR anymore, cost cutting'. Tesco have definitely entered the no respect for customers realm, profit, profit profit, and then we'll laugh in your face after taking your hard earned money and also insult you to boot with staff who have no idea whatsoever of appropriate behaviour in the workplace. So many unemployed people in the country - is this the best Tesco can do? Probably not if HR doesn't exist anymore. If you have no idea of respect or appropriate behaviour, apply for a job here. You will be welcomed with open arms. Pathetic. Disgraceful. Shame on you Tesco.
