  Black girl that worked there is is mannerless unprofessional When you ask her a question she goes on her phone and writes the answer on the phone then show you Sold me wrong stuff This Tesco should just get closed

  The staff here are dreadful. I came in this afternoon to buy some things. Again, no one was on the till to serve. I shouted "shop" to let the shopkeeper know that there are customers waiting to be served, as is customary and there should be someone on the till at all times during trading hours anyway. The self service machines there only take credit card and I have actual money, I don't do credit cards. The security contractor comes up to me as the woman is trying to serve me, arguing and asking why I didn't come to him, I explained that he doesn't work for Tesco, he had no identification showing or anything that said anything about Tesco on him. At this point, "James" the manager came and joined this man and also tried to argue with me instead of trying to diffuse the situation - most managers in retail don't try to argue with customers! He was spoiling for a row. I said to him that instead of spending time arguing with me over something so trivial, he could be serving customers (a queue was building behind me) . He said I am being disrespectful, not sure how when all I did was say that I don't want to speak to someone who isn't staff about needing to be served. So, I asked him why no one was on the till in the first place and he smirked, shrugged his shoulders and said there isn't enough staff... He said it as though it's the customer's fault. He told me to get out of the shop. James should not be in a managerial role, he holds up the queue to start an argument with customers and actively discourages people from purchasing. I won't buy from Tesco ever again, they have such contempt for customers their customer service team are harder to track down online than Bansky himself. Shame on you Tesco, James is losing you custom.

  Every evening I come here to buy something... the guys are all kind and helpful but for a few weeks there has been a really rude and stupid no professional blonde girl... and not just with me... I advise you to make her change her attitude or you will lose all the customers... thanks Tesco always the best

  This store is supposed to be open until 23:00. I came at 22:50 and the doors were half closed. The man stood by the door who seemed to be the keyholder asked what I wanted and let me come in. When I got to the till, the woman said it was closed, so I moved to another till for her to serve me and she said all of the tills were closed. I explained that I had been let in by the keyholder and she rolled her eyes and said with an attitude "I'll open a till then" as a petulant teenager would act. I reminded her that the purpose of her being at the till is to serve customers and help them to pay for their items, as she seemed to act as though customers are a nuisance. At which point, the presumed keyholder spoke up "next time mate, more dignity yeah". I treated the sulking employee with fine dignity and my name is not mate, so I don't appreciate being called such an overtly familiar term by a customer service representative. The store worker's job is to serve customers, not to avoid doing so, then sulk about it and give attitude. It says in bold letters, open until 23:00, so don't start closing the doors at 22:50 and turn all of the tills off. Be honest with your customers if your actual closing time is 22:50. But, I don't think head office would be happy with losing ten minutes of trade everyday, especially on a lucrative Friday evening in the city centre.
