Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

I have been to this greggs in Sheffield interchange bus stand two times , yesterday and today. Yesterday was a nice experience but today i was here in the evening and got a chicken bake and yum yum and i am not going to name her but i have to say this. Me and my girlfriend was with me, i had a sore throat this morning and i just asked her for a cup of hot water if that was alright and she said “ I have to charge you for a tea , i cannot just give a cup of water “ ! Wow just wow , i was stunned and disappointed , how can people talk to customers like this? I mean if greggs this million dollar company doesnt want the staffs to give them a cup of water because they care about the cost of the cup then just display a board with a sign or something. She could have said that “ i have to charge you for a cup of tea or we dont have any extra cups for the hot water or something politely . I didn’t ask her anything for free , just plain rude and bad attitude.
I don’t usually put reviews but this was straight rude and saddening. I am from Liverpool , greggs especially the one infront of the city centre bus stops are great , beautiful people and for some reason even the chicken bake are hotter and fresher compared to this one in the Sheffield . Please try to be not rude , you don’t have to that nice but don’t try to insult.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
