Bar staff were slagging eachother off Infront of customers. We were seated in the bar area because the woman said that the eating area was full, there were plenty of seats when we arrived and still plenty when we left. Beer was hot not chilled and my wife's lemonade was flat.
The food was nice but the portion size was on the small side for the price charged.
Walked in more than 2 dozen spare tables, weren't seated, not available at this time, maybe staffing issues,?anyway tried sitting down at 2 different tables only to be told we have to sit in noisy bar area..me and my wife aren't from the area and aren't familiar with pub rules,we were visiting lakeside village where I'm sure a lot of trade comes from there..we were talked too very abruptly when asked to sit in the bar area..we don't drink.we left feeling very upset how the waiter had talked to us..Alot of places are closing, must be nice when you can afford to talk to paying customers this way..shocked!!!

Absolutely spot on , staff were attentive, welcoming and great customer service ! We were a party of 8 , the food came out all together , hot and the surf and turf burger was delicious! We went for breakfast on the Sunday morning , it was very busy with minimal staff but everything was cleaned , and tables turned round exceptionally quickly ! Credit to the staff 100% nailed it ! Defo will be back .

Disappointing Experience – Serious Hygiene Issues
I visited this restaurant yesterday (7 July) morning hoping to enjoy breakfast with my family, but we were incredibly disappointed. Given the restaurant’s 5-star rating, our experience was nowhere near that standard; I honestly wouldn’t even give it a 1 star based on what we saw.
Upon arrival, I noticed the outdoor seating area still had dirty glasses left over from the previous day/night. The outside bins were also overflowing with rubbish. Considering the restaurant is less than a minute's walk from the massive lake, this felt like an open invitation for rats.
Inside, things unfortunately got worse. After paying for our breakfast, we moved to the seating area and encountered an overwhelming amount of flies. They were landing on top of the hot food, inside the milk jugs, and all over the bread and pastries.
I went back to the bar to explain that we simply could not eat under those conditions. The staff member I spoke with was very understanding and instantly knew it was because of the flies. She mentioned they needed to contact pest control, though, with that level of infestation, I would have expected that to be done already.
To her credit, the lady kindly processed my refund immediately, and we left. I hope management takes immediate action to address these severe hygiene issues.
