About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Staff didn't even speak to me apart from to tell me the price. Did not seem like either of them.wanted to be there. Had a chicken bacon sandwich and the bacon was grey. I didn't eat hardly any of it because of discovering this. Sausage rolls were cooked on top but pastry was raw underneath!

Best spot for a quick snack, sometimes a wait for a table. A little untidy at busy times.

Terrible - never had anything worse, eaten in Greg’s many times, often at the airport, food especially bakes, chicken strips etc are hot warm and very tasty also their coffees. Today’s experience took the biscuit, vegan roll stone-cold (horrible) was concerned that it was maybe partially frozen, never had cold food bakes from Greggs ever before and I am not a spring chicken! I raised this issue and was informed that they don’t keep food warm, that it’s lights not heaters and if they were they would be taxed.. to this reply I am at a lost as I won’t eat cold pizza, cold chicken strips or a cold steak pie!! No offer of a replacement or any alternative, simply not interested. To add fuel to fire the coffee was rancid, tasted like machine had not been cleaned for a month.. it will take a movement of Gods before I return to Greggs at Aintree again 😔☹️🙁

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
