"Dear David, I'm truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience our Sunday roast. It's disheartening to learn that the meals and service did not meet your expectations. I'm sorry to hear about the meat being poor quality, unfortunately once it was sent back to be heated up again, meat tends to lose its delicious tender quality when being over cooked. We are very proud that all our vegetables are cooked fresh to order so truly apologise these we're not up to your standard. You was offered free desserts as a good will gesture which you declined. After upsetting several team members, after they were professional and dideverything they could to ensure your needs were met, I was very reluctant to offer a full refund as you seeking. Best regards, The Red Lion" Not once did we mention refund however we sent a complaint to Punch Taverns who couldn't be less interested as it is not owned by them and is some sort of partnership. To set the record straight we had 3 roast meals only the beef was reheated as it arrived cold, the pork was like dry and had the texture of leather and the chicken was dry. The veg was not freshly cooked the carrots and parsnips had a dried "skin" , creamed leeks was a glob and the peas going white and dry from the heat lamp. it was not "freshly cooked", it was more like reheated leftovers

Both were lovely, generous portions and freshly cooked. Pub was extremely busy for a Monday night, usually a sign its a popular place. Will definitely return
