  Regularly eat at this McDonald’s for one reason the amazing food, fast service and the friendly atmosphere. One worker especially, Abin Luke Joseph, has persistently gave excellent customer service and always greets us with a smile.

  Brilliant food and service. The worker Matt was brilliant. He took extra care with greeting us as we walked in. He helped when I had a issue. Got me some napkins as my burger was very messy but tasty. Overall happy with my evening out at McDonald's.

  Silly Sally- what a wonderful member of staff you have. Came over and painted 2 of the kids faces even though she was supposed to be on a break. Thank you for being so friendly and funny with the kids. The company should be very proud of a member of staff who goes that extra mile to make the MacDonalds experience memorable. Food lovely and table service quick.

  When I ask for a CHOCOLATE thickshake that’s exactly what I expect to receive especially at £3 odd, not vanilla looking or vanilla looking with a tiny pale swirl of chocolate, as I said I know what a chocolate shake looks like I’ve been having them for years. I was polite the guy was nice I didn’t blame him, was approached with another well shame one looked exactly the same and runny, I asked for a refund was offered the same shake again after waiting there for a while, was such an inconvenience for a refund. The MANAGER was rude about sorry I feel that way it looks ok to her, it’s not how I feel it’s what I know I can see. Had a right ATTITUDE. How dare I not want a vanilla looking runny thickshake, obviously the machine isn’t working properly. Colchester McDonald’s needs to show them what a proper chocolate Thickshake is meant to look like theirs are stunning it’s all BROWN. And that manager needs to sort her customer service out!! And don’t really know why it needed another staff member standing there putting her 2p worth in either. If I wanted a vanilla with a real teeny tiny hint of chocolate then I would of just asked for vanilla. Don’t try telling a McDonald’s Thickshake connoisseur that a white shake is chocolate. Not even like the whole milkshake was all a pale shade of brown even that isn’t made right but it was WHITE!!! Awful service!! The attitude on it just annoyed me!!

  Me and my partner often come here for breakfast before work and it’s so nice to be able to sit outside in nice conditions not surrounded by rubbish and cigarettes, the bins are always empty and never overflowing like most fast food places, sometimes the food takes longer than other times but the staff are always apologetic and friendly which is why we always return.
