  What a joke. Saturday night walk in for a table for 2 people at 8.05pm and it is not busy. Turned away as not taking orders. Two people behind us we told as we left also walked away. Rude approach from the moment we walked in. So just ignore the opening hours.

  Came here when the restaurant was open and they said they can only serve food to hotel customers. Never knew of anyone turning away business at a pub, ridiculous ethos. Update - Business should change their listing from pub to not open to the "pub"lic.

  The Beef and Ale pie had gristle and a harsh crust. Supermarket domuch better. Peas were hard. Mean with chips. Salad with chicken breast was equally uninspiring had to ask for more dressing. Will not return to a beefeater.

  Yesterday we visited for food and a drink and the Bar man ignored us when we walked in , we then went to the bar and he was more interested in the lady standing at the bar, i aaked for a pint and got half, he had no manners ...After sitting down i noticed my glass was dirty so i took it back and asked him to change the glass for me please as its dirty , he then inspected it without even speaking to me and then walked off and checked it again, picked up another glass that was dirty and then then next one he made me a fresh drink in. Our food was delivered and was lovely ....after then wanting another drink my friend went to the bar and waited 5 minutes before he came back to the bar feom talking to someone. He then came to our table and took the plates but again never said a word ....He was rude and needs lessons in customer service. I'm sorry but we will not be back. Manners cost nothing and we used ours at all times.
