  Came here on the weekend for dinner and left with very mixed feelings. Upon arrival we were asked to be seated outside as was a nice day, got seated on a dirty table that still had glasses and a cutlery bucket on. I ordered chicken schnitzel and my partner had a double beef burger, both served with chips, my schnitzel also came with a baby gem lettuce cut in half with some crispy onions on top which is a sad try at a salad. The food tasted good but considering the burger was £17 and all you got was a burger and chips pretty disappointing. The whole time we were sat there one person came and cleared a few glasses on our table from previous customers and I presumed forgot about the rest. When leaving the pub said thank you to the bar staff and got completely ignored, said it again but a bit louder and still no response bar staff were to busy talking to each other to acknowledge paying customers, it wasn't busy or loud in there either. Left there feeling very unsatisfied with the service.

  First visit this evening, lovely traditional pub, lovely food , reasonably priced , the waitress was adorable and very efficient ( Chloe we think ) will definitely be back , thank you !

  New landlady, new look, and overall the pub is much better than it was before. Unfortunately, the food menu feels like a typical pub menu trying to be something it isn’t. I was also disappointed to see food advertised as being served until a certain time, only to find the kitchen had closed earlier. The real ale selection is very limited, as in only one on, although if nitro beers or lager are your thing, there’s a good choice. Overall, there have definitely been improvements, but as I’m not a local and have to drive, I’m afraid I’d choose to go elsewhere.

  Had a nice experience at the Bramford Cock. Very nice food and atmosphere was much to our liking. The service was very friendly. We enjoyed it so much so I have booked my birthday meal already for December. Nice to have a proper pub with proper food.

  Paid for two meals with garlic bread slices on each which I paid extra for. The meals came out after a long while which is absolutely fine but garlic bread on my order was missing….2 separate members of staff were back and forth 4 times while I was trying to eat asking if I paid for this bread (which was literally A SLICE of bread), to which I showed them my actual bank account as it was getting to the point they were basically calling me a liar as they had no record of me paying for this. Never eating there again and never felt so embarrassed….if they carry on like this they will end up like the previous landlords. P.S I didn’t eat the garlic bread in the end out of principle!
