- JRJames RutlandJun 17, 20264.0Great for coffee. Plenty of space and free Wifi. Music can be fairly loud but when one of the mother and baby groups arrives that can be a blessing! Staff are very helpful and pleasant to deal with, coffee is good and there is a good selection of options for both food and drink. Average pricing. Excellent if you have a dog with you - several water bowls around the cafe and free treats by the till. Very dog-friendly. Disabled access is good as there is a ramp from the door up to the rear seating areas - a throwback from the former HSBC bank it used to be. Not sure about the antiquated fire door though which looks more like something you'd find on a ship with its 4-point locking system...did this pass building regulations!? Manually operated main entrance doors are cumbersome and difficult to open especially if you're in a wheelchair or with a pushchair. I've seen a number of customers struggling with these and often have to go and hold them open for those with mobility issues or pushchairs. Overall though...great venue whether you're on your own or in a large group. My dog loves it too.

The premises and tables are spotlessly clean which makes it a pleasure to go there. It has a high ceiling so it is nice and airy. The seats are very comfortable, the WiFi is excellent. There is a comfortable seating for another 32 guests beyond the first seating area. Esquires is a great addition to Oakham and it stays open until 6 pm.
