- MKMitchell KempsterMar 7, 20262.0⭐️⭐️ 2 Stars I collected an order from this Greggs as a Just Eat delivery driver on Saturday 7th March between 14:41 and 15:22. The issue wasn’t really the wait time — delays happen. The problem was the complete lack of communication and basic manners from the staff handling delivery orders. When I arrived, no one acknowledged me at all. I stood waiting and eventually had to ask for an update after about 15 minutes, only to be told something needed cooking and it would be another 30 minutes. If I hadn’t asked, it seems like I would have just been left standing there indefinitely. During the 41 minutes I waited, the staff responsible for deliveries appeared visibly annoyed and were quite rude. There was no attempt to communicate, apologise, or even acknowledge drivers waiting. Two gentlemen serving customers at the front counter were actually polite, friendly and attentive, and they are the only reason this review isn’t 1 star instead of 2. Watching how they interacted with customers compared to the delivery handling really highlighted the difference. A simple “we’re running behind” or “your order will be around 30 minutes” would have made a huge difference. Communication costs nothing but goes a long way.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
