  How on earth they can be closing all restaurants is inexplicable!! Always good food...

  Stood waiting to be seated and waitress came over took some menu from hosting desk and walked off. No interaction what so ever, even if busy or they had no tables manners cost nothing. We did sit in the garden on a previous evening as was with others and the sides/starters were decent.

  I have always known and loved Beefeater, but whenever we go out, my partner usually chooses a different place, and as they say, it is a lady's right! However, while on holiday in the Isle of Wight, I finally convinced her to let us try the Newport Beefeater. I promised her that she and the kids would love it. It turned out I was completely right! My partner comes from a family of caterers and has very high standards, so she usually hates eating out. For her to vouch for Beefeater is a massive compliment. They loved it so much that I recently took them to the Southcote Beefeater in Reading, and the experience was just as perfect. Now, the family wishes to go every single week! The food at both branches is consistently well-cooked and lovely. The service is second to none in Britain. From the warm welcome to the staff checking for dietary and vegetarian options, they make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is spacious, beautifully decorated, and well-lit. Parking is also a breeze at both locations. The Newport branch has a free car park outside which has enough space for everyone, plus free on-street parking around it where you can park for a few hours. Meanwhile, our local Southcote branch has a free on-site private car park just for those eating there. I am so glad I won the argument this time. We love it and will be going back again and again!

  Had a really nice time at the beefeater today. The short rib was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Liam looked after us and ensured we had a great time. It’s devastating that the place is closing but I’m glad we were able to have a nice time today

  Even while empty they’ll expect you to wait, without greeting or acknowledging you, felt a bit targeted since we were the only coloured people. Head down to the harvester its 5 minutes away and the service is much better.
