I visited TGI Fridays in Redding with my daughter and son while taking my daughter back to university after the Christmas period, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. The restaurant was freezing cold. It’s quite a large space, and instead of proper heating there were multiple cheap-looking, very bright heaters placed around the restaurant that did absolutely nothing. It genuinely felt like a freezer inside. I had to keep my coat on throughout the meal and was so cold that I couldn’t enjoy the experience at all. It seemed as though the main heating system was not working. The restaurant was almost empty, which in hindsight was probably a sign. I ordered a steak meal for £28.99, and my daughter ordered the ribs (around £22–£23). I did eat the steak because I had paid for it, but it was genuinely disgusting — extremely poor quality and nowhere near what you’d expect for that price. The food overall was unpleasant, and I actually felt sick afterwards. The only positive thing I can say is that the young lady who served us was polite, helpful, and friendly. None of this was her fault, which is why I didn’t complain at the time and simply smiled and said thank you before leaving. TGI Fridays has sadly gone downhill over the years, but this was particularly bad. If you’re thinking of going here, honestly don’t bother — you’d be far better off cooking at home. Your food will look better, taste better, and you’ll leave far less disappointed. I hope management take this feedback seriously, as this was far below the standard expected.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING from start to finish!!! We chose TGI Fridays to celebrate our daughter’s 7th birthday, and it was hands-down one of the BEST dining experiences we’ve had as a family. The energy, the service, the food — everything was PERFECT! Our waitress, Ruby, was an absolute ROCKSTAR and deserves HUGE recognition from management! She was beyond friendly, incredibly attentive, and went out of her way to make our daughter feel like the most important person in the room. Ruby’s enthusiasm, kindness, and genuine care completely MADE the night. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and it shows in every detail. The food was fantastic, came out fast, and everyone left happy and smiling. Our daughter had the TIME OF HER LIFE and hasn’t stopped talking about it since! Management — please take note: Ruby is a TOTAL GEM and an absolute asset to your team. Thank you, Ruby, and thank you TGI Fridays for making this birthday so unforgettable. We will 100% be back!!!

Came here in a group of 20 or so for a Christmas dinner. Service was great with our server being very attentive and making sure drinks were topped up and food arrived on time. Food was as expected, good but not great. Perfectly fine for the venue. Very limited range of on tap beers and nothing on tap that would be classed as an ale. Pricey too! Overall decent experience.

This place has died! Empty restaurant and broken heating, had to sit next to a plug in heater. Starters cheese donuts, hollow, no cheese and over baked. Sesame chicken strips, we're tiny scrag ends, no strips at all and for £10.49!! Main: ultimate texas grill to share, arrived after 30 minutes, not sure why as restaurant was empty. Steak was cremated even though we asked for it to be medium rare, struggled to get a steak knife through it, cold corn on the cob, 2 onion rings again cremated, so we decided to not go any further with it. During this time we saw 3 staff members taking selfie's pretending to clean a window. We said we were not happy and explained, staff member said she would call a Manager, who came over apologised and was lovely and offered us some complimentary food etc but we asked to just leave. Such a shame as this place used to rock with vibe and great food.
