  Disappointed with our experience at this Tesco store. As we’re not local, this was our first visit, and unfortunately several issues arose that I feel Tesco should address. The staff behind the service desk were friendly and helpful, and we appreciated their assistance. However, the manager was new and appeared unsure of some of the relevant processes. We were also advised that there was no first aider onsite and that more staff needed to be trained. While we appreciate training takes time, appropriate first-aid cover and clear procedures are important for customer safety. There was also a third-party Vimto stand. My friend is coeliac, so we asked numerous times whether the drink was suitable. Unfortunately, the person working on the stand did not appear to have sufficient knowledge of the product or its ingredients and failed to advise us that it contained barley. My friend had already taken a sip before this was discovered. We raised the matter with both the store manager and Tesco’s help desk, and statements were taken regarding what happened. The manager specifically advised that the issue involving the third party would be followed up and that we would receive a call or email. Despite providing statements and being given a clear assurance that we would be contacted, we have received absolutely no follow-up, explanation or acknowledgement. This is particularly disappointing given the seriousness of the allergen concern. A commitment was made to us, and it has simply not been followed through. I would now expect Tesco to provide a proper response, including what action has been taken regarding the third-party stand, the arrangements for first-aid cover, and what steps are being taken to ensure staff and promotional representatives have appropriate training and accurate product knowledge. We are not simply looking for an apology; we would like reassurance that these concerns have been taken seriously and that appropriate steps will be taken to prevent similar situations in future. For a new store visit, experiences like this can have a real impact on customer confidence and reputation. We hope Tesco will take the feedback constructively and use it as an opportunity to improve.

  Donna who works at self checkout is rude and basically told me to f off as I went behind another customer after someone told me a self service machine was free when in fact wasn't. She treated me as though I was queue jumping and this is not the case. When I tried explaining the situation she avoided eye contact walked off and mumbled something to herself and appeared to have swore at me. She needs to be sacked in all fairness, when I raised this with staff that work there, they knew exactly which member of staff I was referring to before I even described them which speaks volumes.
