⭐ 1 star I had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience with a member of staff at Tesco Extra in Middlesbrough. Her behaviour towards me was rude, inappropriate and unprofessional, and I felt that I was treated differently because of my background. The way she spoke to me and handled the situation came across as disrespectful and, in my view, had a racist attitude. I found her behaviour completely unacceptable and not in keeping with the level of respect and customer service I would expect from Tesco. I hope Tesco management takes this complaint seriously, investigates what happened properly, and ensures that customers are treated fairly and respectfully regardless of their race or background. I would appreciate a response from the store management regarding this incident.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at Tesco Extra in Middlesbrough. The attitude and behaviour of one staff member towards me were extremely inappropriate and made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I felt that the staff member displayed a prejudiced and discriminatory attitude, and the way I was treated gave me the impression that I was being judged differently because of my background. This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable in a customer-facing role and should not be tolerated. Staff members should treat every customer with the same level of respect, courtesy and professionalism, regardless of their race, ethnicity or background. I hope Tesco takes this concern seriously, investigates what happened, and provides appropriate training to ensure that all customers are treated fairly and respectfully. Very disappointing experience, and certainly not the standard of customer service I would expect from Tesco.
