Website advertised a Costa coffee there complete with opening times. Turns out it only had a Costa express machine. We chose to stop there after driving two hours to break our journey specially for than and having a coffee sat in my car was not what I planned

The majority of staff are fantastic and extremely welcoming, especially with children However my last 2 visits to the store have been marred by a rather hard faced and quite frankly rude lady who mans the assisted self serve machines called Karen. My son’s school is currently on the grants for help scheme and naturally he’s a little excited to see his schools name up in a competition Whilst I can appreciate the rules of the competition state one token per customer - cashiers in the past have given extra to us and others - so as a 5 year old boy his perception is a little skewed in terms of the rules of the game. At the assisted self serve machines they’re in a pot and readily available to people to grab on their own, he naturally grabbed the same amount as he’s been given in the past. Our lovely Karen decided to step in and bark in a particularly gestapo-esque manner “NO! One per customer” which would have been fine if not for the tone and the fact she was speaking to a 5 year old child - and before I’d had the chance to correct him myself Fast forward to today’s experience when the Blue token police (whom I assume was not even working as she had her personal bag on her shoulder) decided to stand at the end of the machine watching my son to try and intimidate us May I suggest at the very least some customer service training - or a change of career to a club bouncer as this would suit her obvious need for a power trip.

Arrived on Sunday at 9-30, stopped there hoping for a coffee after an early driving start. Coffee machine worked, we made the coffees but there was no way to pay for it because the tills were not open. People who were stacking shelves next to the coffee machine, did not say anything. Had to dump the coffee and go. Waste of time and coffee
