  Went for Sunday lunch, be careful if you book a table on line, special requirements do not always go through to the restaurant. Service once we got our meal was super slow, 25 mins waiting for plates to be cleared and another 15 mins waiting for our desert order to be taken, the plates were only cleared because I went looking for someone. Member of staff left cutlery drawer open so a lady coming out of the toilet hit her hip on it

  I know this restaurant is closing in September but it may as well close now , it’s gone down hill massively food and service is shocking the team are doing their best but as a company whitbread should be ashamed , I’ve worked in hospitality for 15 years you should look after your employees you should be ashamed of yourself of letting this beautiful restaurant go to rack and ruins !

  A great Sunday lunch — well worth a visit Visited today for Sunday lunch with my wife and in-laws and had a really enjoyable afternoon. My wife booked online the same morning for a 1pm sitting, which was great — impressive availability for a Sunday. Parking was straightforward, with Blue Badge spaces conveniently close to the rear entrance. All four of us went for the Sunday roast, which was the obvious choice — well cooked, generous portions and good value. My wife could barely finish hers, which says a lot! Drinks covered all bases: latte, hot chocolate, shandy, tea and water on arrival, plus a cottage cheese side — the ordering process was simple and efficient throughout. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and the restaurant itself is a real plus point — well-spaced tables mean you don't feel on top of other diners, and there are quieter areas if you want a more relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for a family occasion. Reasonably priced, easy to book, great food and a comfortable setting. We'll definitely be back.

  After arriving in Portsmouth on an overnight ferry, this was our first stop for breakfast before continuing on our journey. It did not disappoint, Excellent cooked selection, the sausages in particular were delicious. Cheerful staff
