Worst McDonald’s experience we’ve ever had. We arrived at the drive-through at Broxden Roundabout, Perth, to collect a pre-paid app order after a concert in Glasgow. We expected it to be busy, but nothing could have prepared us for the level of chaos we experienced. It took around 20 minutes just to reach the order speaker, where we provided our order code and were told to proceed to the next window. We then spent another 35 minutes waiting to reach the first window, only to be told they were “very busy tonight.” The entire drive-through was at a standstill, with frustrated customers sounding their horns and people inside the restaurant arguing with staff after waiting excessive amounts of time for their food. After nearly 90 minutes in total, we finally reached the collection window, only to be told by the female staff member that our order could not be found. Despite providing the app order code, staff seemed unable to locate it. What particularly frustrated us was the way this situation was handled. Rather than speaking to us directly, apologising for the inconvenience, or explaining what had gone wrong, the female staff member dismissed the issue, turned to her male colleague, and told him to ask us to write our order on a napkin. He then had to repeat this request to us, clearly aware of what had just been said in front of us. This was done in a way that made us feel like a nuisance rather than customers who had already been waiting for well over an hour. The interaction came across as dismissive and rude, and a simple apology and polite explanation would have gone a long way. By this point, our patience had worn thin. We requested a refund, which was refused, leaving us with little choice but to continue waiting while our order was effectively started again from scratch. What made matters worse was that, when the food eventually arrived, items were still missing and had to be requested separately, despite the order having been written down. We also weren’t given a receipt, meaning we couldn’t complete the customer satisfaction survey. I appreciate that the restaurant was exceptionally busy, but the organisation, communication, and customer service were extremely poor. Staff appeared overwhelmed, but that does not excuse treating customers dismissively, especially after such an excessive wait. Management should seriously review what happened between midnight and 3am on Sunday 2 August. The delays, confusion, and overall lack of customer care were unacceptable. Had we not been trapped in the drive-through queue with no opportunity to exit, we would have left long before receiving our food. I am certain there will be many complaints regarding visits during these hours! Without doubt, this was the worst McDonald’s experience we have ever had, and unfortunately we will not be returning to this restaurant.

My daughter and her friend ordered a delivery through the McDonalds’ app. It came late, cold and missing a burger, all the fries and all the chicken nuggets. So, for £21.68 they received 2 cold burgers and under-filled cups. I called the restaurant and, as I waited to speak with the manager, the call was hung up. So I drove up and asked to speak to the manager. I had the receipt. India came and heard our issues then told us that, even though we ordered through the McDonald’s app, paid to McDonalds through their app and had no choice in the delivery company, and although the food came from the restaurant we were standing in (Broxden, Perth) it wasn’t McDonalds policy to make it right. We were to go on the website to their help section. This turned out to be an AI bot and, after explaining the issue, it just said that they can't do anything. Ultimately, McDonalds messed up, doubled down and took advantage of two teenage girls, one of whom wanted a treat with her first ever pay packet and decided on a McDonalds with her friend, then was left very disappointed. Very poor customer service.

I never thought i would go ahead and make a review for a McDonald’s, but this was honestly some of the worst food i ever had. I don’t expect much going to eat in such a place, but at least a certain standard that i know from many visits before in other places. I was very possibly surprised and impressed about the quality of Scottish McDonald’s otherwise, so this was a great disappointment. Maybe they shouldn’t rely on teenagers to manage this place, since nothing seems to work. Food was cold and dry, one burger missed half of the top bread, kids got water instead of sprite, toilet was blocked. At least the later we complained to was nice and offered us new food. However the second batch wasn’t much better.

I'm not someone who usually leaves bad reviews. I've worked in kitchens myself, so I completely understand how busy and stressful hospitality can be. However, this experience was unacceptable. At 8:17 a.m., with only three tables occupied in a fast-food restaurant, it's unbelievable that an order of two porridge, two flat white and one muffin took 30 minutes to arrive. What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the staff. When we politely asked about our order, they seemed annoyed. When the food finally arrived, the tray was practically thrown onto the table. I still said "thank you," and the staff member responded with a sarcastic smile and the usually "no worries". To make matters worse, after waiting that long, we had to get up and ask for spoons so we could actually eat our porridge. Then my husband had to go back to the counter again because one of the porridge came with jam, and it had been forgotten. Delays can happen, but there is no excuse for rude and disrespectful customer service. Really disappointing experience and, unfortunately, worst McDonald's experiences I've had.

Broxden macdonalds USED TO BE my preferred place but it has gone down hill so much. I came of a bus at 4am and ordered a double cheeseburger with extra bacon, fries and as the milkshake machine was broke I had a coffee..that burger never saw a pig, the fries were like warm and rubbery the coffee mediocre at best. Having ordered I sat to eat the bland offerings only to witness a member of staff on their break, picking his nose and wipping it on his trousers, I am sorry to be gross but its what I saw...After this I went to the toilet, I was absolutely shocked and disgusted by the state they were in...rolls of paper on the floor, paper in the sinks. No soap and no working drier..tomato sauce up the walls and on the floor..polite staff do not compensate for the run down dirty place .is a customer at 4am any less valued than one at 4pm? I won't be back in a hurry, I only hope I don't get food poisoning in the meantime..
