  We went to exchange an unused duvet set because we had accidentally bought the wrong size. The bedding had never been used or washed; only the outer packaging had been opened/torn. Despite explaining that we only wanted to exchange it for the correct size, the request was refused. The shift in-charge on 1st September at around 8 PM was particularly rude and unhelpful. We expected the situation to be handled politely and professionally, even if the return could not be accepted. Very disappointing experience.

  1/5 – Very disappointing customer service I purchased a Silentnight duvet set from this Tesco store and unfortunately picked up the wrong size. I returned to the store with the item unused and simply asked if I could exchange it for the correct size. The actual bedding has never been used or washed. The only issue is that the outer cardboard packaging was torn when I opened it and realised I had purchased the wrong size. Despite explaining this clearly and only asking for an exchange, my request was refused because of the damaged outer packaging. I found the whole experience extremely disappointing. I understand that stores need a returns policy, but the product itself is completely unused and I was willing to exchange it for the correct size rather than simply demanding my money back. I have shopped with Tesco expecting reasonable customer service, and I feel this situation could have been handled much better. I will now be raising the matter directly with Tesco Customer Service. Very disappointing experience – 1 star.

  Very disappointing customer service I spent around £150 at this Tesco while shopping with my family, including my 5-year-old, and received a £70 parking charge for exceeding the 3-hour limit. We were also visiting other shops at the retail park. I approached the Store Manager, Sy, for help, but instead of showing any understanding, he told me to simply pay the fine and commented that “£150 shopping isn’t much and should only take 20 minutes.” His dismissive attitude and apparent smirk during the conversation were extremely disappointing. I understand the parking rules, but Tesco’s complete lack of willingness to help a genuine customer after spending £150 is very poor customer service. The way this was handled by the Store Manager was unacceptable.

  I asked one of your staff members whether these were oranges because I have an allergy to grapefruit. She assured me that they were definitely oranges. Thankfully, I didn't fully trust that information and checked when I got home. I then discovered that Minneola is a tangelo, a cross between a tangerine and grapefruit. This could have ended very badly for me because of my allergy. Please make sure your staff are properly informed about the products they are selling, especially when a customer specifically asks because of an allergy. Giving incorrect information about food in this situation could have serious consequences for someone else.
