Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Got my meal my food was lukewarm and this is a 5-minute drive from there to me so my food always been stood for at least 25 minutes of the 40 minutes I waited. Couldn't order after stuff because they had nothing in it was out of stock and then when I did get my food I didn't get what I wanted because they had to replace it because it was out of stock the food was absolutely vile it was horrible it would dry there was no meat no cheese in the sandwich and the two pizza slices I had the dough was like wow it like soggy and horrible and they were just horribly cold absolutely awful service probably won't be using them again no wonder it's so cheap it's cheap because it's disgusting of Vile and Greggs that is not your reputation to do stuff like this. Wow just add my Greggs delivered not the driver's fault once again food is stone cold so I checked it before I took it in it's stone cold so I refuse to take it the driver understood I said look not his fault you know I mean and I've asked him to take it back I'd rang greggs told them what I think the lad try to sound apologetic you can tell he just didn't care so I made a point and told him Try reading the reviews they get they're not fantastic not very flattering I said if you google the Greggs worse Greggs in Oxfordshire or UK yours comes up as the world that the UK's worst and oxfordshires worst Greggs it's a shame that it's ran away is because it's not really good for the brand name these are the problems when you go national like Greggs did.
This is unbelievable I got a refund from just eat for the mistake that the staff made at the Greggs in Carterton bear mistake not the drivers so I got my refund but I'm still entitled to make a complaint so I contacted them started speaking to the manager told him that he's got the worst gregson Oxfordshire then he tried to tell me no it's the it's been voted the number one best Greg set in Oxford which I've just googled and that's a lie it is the worst Greggs in Oxfordshire and up and down the UK nanny started telling me of you had your refund so it's not our problem anymore you don't have the right to complain you've got your refund it's their fault not ours and I said well how can it be there for you make the mistake not them he's talking over the top of me while I'm trying to tell him that I have the right to complain and then basically just cut me off because he didn't like what I had to say absolutely rude absolutely disgusting service how can you like I said to him how can you mess up the same order twice in 20 minutes and he said oh because now we've stopped doing breakfast so they knew when I sent it back that that time they couldn't send out what I wanted because they stop doing breakfast well that's not my problem when I ordered it at 9:00 it was a breakfast order by 11:00 that's not my fault that they took that long to deliver it and it's wrong twice. Definitely not going back there again we'll be making a formal complaint to there corporate office just a warning stay away from greggs Carterton it's just easier to drive to Witney and actually go straight into the one on the corner of Welsh way poor show poor service

Overall experience is awful! There was three men that are on shift. My daughter came to collect an order. I was on the phone to her. The man made her wait 20 minutes for her order for no reason at all then didn’t give her the dipping sauce to go with the order and stated that she had to pay extra for that source, if she wanted it, I was on the phone to her. This time was extremely rude considering she’s only a child age 11 made her feel extremely uncomfortable. She came to me. I went back in explained what happened that comes with the dip and sauce. I’m not have to pay extra he told me that no, no one said that she had to pay extra I stated that I heard the whole conversation as I was on the phone and I felt that he was extremely rude to My Child and I would like an apology given to My Child. He denied and said it wasn’t his issued deal with the two other members of staff in the back were laughing. Overall, the staff are extremely rude. Have no customer service skills at all. I’m embarrassed that I have to even leave a review like this.

Drive through is hardly ever open and when it is for some reason only accepts cash. Poor and slow service inside with only limited hot options even at the start of lunchtime when I would expect it to be fully stocked. Food is nice if you can actually get what you want

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
