Wow. Went today for the first time and got stuck in the drive through queue for 35mins. Other drivers were going over to the window to see what was going on, people were beeping & one person even exited the drive through over the curb. I could see through the collection window that the restaurant was full of unhappy people & one worker was standing at the drinks machine pouring out everyone's drinks. There were about 30 odd drinks lined up. When I tasted mine at the window I could taste that the ice had completely melted. The Food tasted disgusting and nothing like Burger King. The burger patty was absolutely disgusting and was not flame grilled. I've eaten Burger King across Europe and it's one of my fav places for a burger but this place needs closing down. I do not recommend it at all. I'm so disappointed and would never return here again. I actually feel sick & have thought of making myself vomit just to feel better. The layout of this place is also ridiculous and due to the small size of this place, the queue ended up blocking the exit for the drive through. Just awful awful experience

If you’re looking for cold food, appalling quality, frustrating service and a thoroughly disgusting dining experience, look no further than Burger King in Banbury. For a restaurant that’s only been open a few weeks, it’s already managed to set the bar impressively low. With no staff available at the counter, we were forced to use the self-service kiosks, despite wanting to apply our Blue Light Card discount. Unsurprisingly, the glitchy machine refused to accept the QR code. We approached a member of staff preparing orders, only to be told that the discount couldn’t be applied and that next time we should use the counter instead. A counter with no staff on it. Brilliant. An absolutely flawless system. You’d think a company the size of Burger King might have managed to get its technology working properly, particularly when these kiosks have QR readers. The Blue Light Card is available to emergency services personnel and is advertised as being accepted at Burger King. Apparently, actually getting the discount is another matter entirely. But the discount fiasco was just the appetiser for what followed. We spent £33 and waited over 22 minutes for our food. Twenty-two minutes! You might reasonably expect something freshly prepared and vaguely edible after that sort of wait. Instead, we were treated to what can only be described as a collection of culinary disasters. Opening the bags in the car revealed the full horror: The burgers were cold. Not slightly lukewarm, but the sort of cold that makes you wonder how long they’d been sitting around. The fries were absolutely horrible — cold, rubbery and tasting as though they’d been cooked hours earlier and left to deteriorate in peace. The plant-based Whopper was burnt around the edges and tasted disgusting. An achievement in its own right, given that it was supposed to be a meal, not a charcoal-based experiment. The onion rings were cold, too. Apparently, consistency is the one thing this place has mastered. The two beef Whoppers were utterly vile. The buns were soggy, and the burger fillings had a slimy texture that was enough to put anyone off eating. Frankly, they looked and tasted absolutely revolting. For £33, we expected a decent fast-food meal. Instead, we got cold, soggy, rubbery, burnt and slimy food, served after an unnecessarily long wait, alongside a discount system that seemingly nobody could be bothered to resolve. The whole experience was utterly disgusting, from the moment we tried to order to the moment we opened the bags. This branch has only been open for a few weeks, which makes the complete lack of quality control, basic service and edible food even more astonishing. Burger King might want to rethink the word “King” in its name, because there was absolutely nothing royal about this experience. We will never return. £33 wasted, an absolutely vile experience from start to finish.

I’m a big Burger King fan and have always preferred their burgers over the other fast food chains, so I was genuinely looking forward to having a new Burger King nearby. Unfortunately, this new site feels like it hasn’t really been thought through. The car park is tiny, with what looks like only around 6 spaces, and the whole area is very tight. The drive-thru is also extremely small and cramped. We waited around 10–20 minutes for the food, which I wouldn’t mind if the food had been worth the wait. I ordered a Double Bacon Cheeseburger, truffle fries and a Coke for £11.73. The burger was honestly very disappointing. Yes, it had two patties, but the actual burger was tiny, roughly the size I’d expect from a McDonald’s kids meal and, more importantly, it was completely ice cold. The truffle fries were actually good, but unfortunately they were only lukewarm as well. Tap to pay also wasn’t working, which was pretty frustrating. I didn’t go inside myself, but a friend who did said the restaurant is very small and that the ordering screens weren’t particularly good either. I really wanted this new Burger King to be somewhere I could regularly go, so it’s genuinely disappointing to have such a poor first experience. Hopefully this is just opening week teething problems and things improve, because I’d much rather see it succeed than have another Burger King that I end up avoiding.

My main issue with this visit was the rudeness and attitude of what I can only assume was the manager. It took around 15 minutes to get through the drive-thru. As this is a new venue, I was more than willing to accept that delays can happen, particularly as there appeared to be an issue with the customer in front of me that the manager was dealing with. What I cannot accept, however, is being spoken to rudely. This was my first time using the Burger King app, and I had an offer I wanted to redeem. When placing my order, I wasn't asked whether I was using the app or had an offer code, so I assumed I could simply provide the offer at the payment window where they could scan the QR code. When I reached the window, I politely asked the server if I could use the offer. A tall male member of management who was standing behind him then responded very abruptly and loudly, "Too late, just pay." I paid, as I didn't feel there was any point arguing, but I was genuinely taken aback by the way I was spoken to. There was absolutely no need for that tone or attitude towards a customer who was simply asking a reasonable question. If offer codes have to be entered at the ordering stage, then this needs to be made clear to customers. More importantly, if this is a required part of the ordering process, it should be included in the staff's steps of service — simply ask customers when taking their order whether they are using the app or have an offer. Delays are understandable, especially at a new restaurant. Poor customer service and rudeness are not. I would strongly suggest reviewing how the management team communicates with customers.

My recent experience at Burger King was nothing short of exceptional, and I feel compelled to articulate just how thoroughly impressed I was by both the quality of the food and, most significantly, the extraordinary standard of customer service provided by an employee named Harrison. From the moment I entered the restaurant, there was an unmistakable atmosphere of efficiency, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. Everything was conducted with a degree of attentiveness that one does not invariably associate with fast-food establishments. The ordering process was remarkably seamless, the restaurant was impeccably presented, and my food arrived promptly and in excellent condition. The burger was hot, flavourful, beautifully assembled, and possessed precisely the satisfying combination of textures one hopes for when visiting Burger King. The fries were similarly impressive: crisp on the exterior, pleasantly fluffy within, and served at an ideal temperature. However, the unequivocal highlight of the entire experience was Harrison. I can say, without even the slightest trace of hyperbole, that Harrison is genuinely the “Burger King.” Not merely an employee of Burger King, but seemingly the living personification of everything the establishment ought to represent: cordiality, attentiveness, efficiency, enthusiasm, and an almost astonishing commitment to ensuring that every customer leaves satisfied. Harrison demonstrated an exceptional level of interpersonal consideration. His demeanour was simultaneously courteous and personable, striking that elusive equilibrium between professional competence and authentic friendliness. He did not merely perform the mechanical obligations associated with customer service; he appeared genuinely invested in creating a positive experience. His communication was clear, his manner was remarkably affable, and his attentiveness conveyed the impression that customer satisfaction was not simply an occupational requirement but something he sincerely valued. What particularly impressed me was the consistency of his professionalism. Even amid the inevitable bustle of a busy restaurant environment, Harrison remained composed, attentive, and unfailingly polite. There was no sense of impatience or indifference. Instead, he approached his responsibilities with an almost commendable enthusiasm, demonstrating that excellent customer service is not necessarily dependent upon grand gestures but can emerge through hundreds of small, conscientious actions. It is difficult to overstate how much of a difference this made to the overall experience. A meal can be delicious, a restaurant can be clean, and an order can be prepared efficiently, but genuine human interaction is what transforms an otherwise ordinary visit into a memorable one. Harrison accomplished precisely that. Indeed, if Burger King were to establish an academy dedicated to the cultivation of exemplary customer service, Harrison would be an obvious candidate for its professorship. His conduct exhibited a remarkable synthesis of efficiency, civility, and warmth that many businesses would do well to emulate. The entire visit consequently exceeded my expectations by a considerable margin. The food was excellent, the service was expeditious, the environment was welcoming, and Harrison's contribution elevated the experience from merely satisfactory to genuinely outstanding. Burger King should be exceptionally proud to have someone like Harrison representing the brand. Employees who demonstrate this calibre of dedication are invaluable, because they remind customers that excellent service is ultimately about more than transactions—it is about making people feel welcomed, respected, and appreciated. Five stars without reservation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ And to Harrison: you are, quite unequivocally, the Burger King. Albeit, the burger was genuinely abhorrent.
