Can't complain about the staff/service, as they are always helpful and pleasant. Being coeliac, I asked for my usual baked beans and scrambled eggs. This has always been enough, but now it wouldn't be enough to feed my 3 year old grandchild. I mentioned my shock to a member of staff and she said it was new portion control. Sorry, it's a joke.

Beware hidden charges. My daughter was excited to see "gluten-free bread available" added to the breakfast menu, having grown used to passing the regular toast over to me each time. Interesting that the menu doesn't mention, and staff didn't mention, that opting for the gluten free option adds £2.10 to your bill. For two small slices of bread. Which they won't even toast for you. So I guess we add tescos cafe to the list of places where you have to check your receipt every time you go there...a shame.
