  Disappointing experience at my local store I live right next door to this Tesco, so it essentially functions as an extension of my kitchen. I don't do weekly shops; I’m in there almost every day, so I’m a very regular customer. Unfortunately, after my experience tonight, I am reconsidering my loyalty. I popped in this evening to pick up a few bits, but the experience at the self-checkout was appalling. When I realized I’d left my Clubcard at home, I politely asked the member of staff manning the area if there was anything he could do. Instead of offering any assistance, he laughed in my face and walked away before I could even ask him to remove a smoothie from my transaction (the non-Clubcard price was substantially higher). I was left waiting and waiting, feeling completely ignored, before eventually having to pay for the item I did want to buy without a clubcatd at a different self-checkout. To make matters worse, as I was finally trying to leave, he actually accused me of stealing. To be treated with such rudeness and to be falsely accused of theft—especially as someone who shops there daily—is absolutely unacceptable. I’ve never been so humiliated in a shop. Management really needs to look into how their staff treat long-term, local customers. I’m incredibly disappointed.
