I went to Ask Restaurant Scarborough with my wife for our 45th Wedding Anniversary at 7pm on 13 June 26. I had a chicken style pizza which came very quickly after ordering it. It had 5 or 6 bits of small chicken, onion ect. It got cold very quickly. Today I went to Wether spoons Scarborough and had a Barbecue Chicken Pizza which had lots of bigger chicken pieces ect and was a lot hotter than the Ask one. Pizza was Half the price and included my pint of 1664. I will not be back to any Ask Restaurant. They are over priced and not quality for mony

We had the pleasure of being served by a lady called Anne who quite honestly provided the best service I’ve received since bringing my boys (twins now 15 month olds) to restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble and she went the extra mile to wash our boys silicone bibs and bowls that we had brought with us, once we had finished eating/making a mess. Anne is definitely a credit to the restaurant and all of this review is for her…. The food was good too haha

We always go to an Ask Italian for the kids if there’s ever one when we visit out of town. It’s relaxed, kid friendly off course and the food is usually fresh and tasty for the price. First of all we got there and was ignored even though we had a booking (we’ve been a number of times and have had no issues prior). My husband enquired about the wait and was told to wait by the door.. 10 minutes later the front of house person (25/5/26 BOOKING @ 3:30pm) very short upon check in, miserable, just overall negative, showed us to our table and that was that. If we didn’t have the kids we would have absolutely left but they were very hungry and tired. Not much service at all other than to take our order and when we asked for the bill but that wasn’t a problem for us as were aware of the establishment (compared to the places we frequent) partnered with the heat and the business of the day I guess. Food was fine, drinks were fine. We paid and left. Within minutes of leaving my daughter decided she needed the toilet again so returned and was met again by the miserable front of house person who condescendingly directed me to the public toilets down the street. Now I didn’t have a problem with this as I’m sure they have some kind of policy BUT prior she LET A MOTHER IN WITH HER CHILD WHO WASNT A PAYING CUSTOMER WHATSOEVER. Considering we just left the restaurant and I had a 3 year old in hand you would think she had some kind of empathy. And before anyone states “oh policy” or she might have even said she didn’t recall us being there, well we were the only people of COLOUR. The lady she let in prior was similar to herself. That being said I absolutely believe it was down to race and her tone confirmed that also from is arriving, the way we were spoken to and overall treated by her. Whoever she is maybe consider a staff shuffle because you guys will lose customers. That being said, we won’t be back solely based on our treatment by that specific person. One less customer may not be a massive loss but I do hope that as an established business who thrive on customer service and satisfaction, this review is taken into consideration.
