  **@McDonald's UK – Where is your compassion? Is this really how you treat customers during a family emergency?** On 29 September, we visited your Newport Coldra restaurant while anxiously waiting for veterinary results concerning our seriously ill cat, Milkshake. Tragically, he passed away that same day. We were genuine paying customers. We had a meal, ordered coffee and waited for news while feeling extremely distressed and emotionally overwhelmed. Unfortunately, we exceeded the 90-minute parking limit. MET Parking rejected our appeal, and McDonald's Customer Services subsequently refused to intervene twice. **What is most upsetting is that nobody took the time to properly understand why we were there, what we were going through, or how devastating that day was for us.** Not even a personal acknowledgement of Milkshake's passing. Just generic expressions of sympathy followed by repeated explanations of parking rules. **Seriously, McDonald's? Is this what customer care means to you?** When customers are anxiously waiting for potentially devastating medical news, are they really expected to watch the clock and leave within exactly 90 minutes, regardless of their emotional state? **How ridiculous is it that two distressed customers cannot simply sit down, have something to eat and wait for news without facing a £100 parking charge?** We are not disputing the parking rules. We are asking McDonald's to show compassion and exercise discretion in genuinely exceptional circumstances. We understand the purpose of parking restrictions, but surely common sense, humanity and compassion should matter too. **Does McDonald's seriously believe that rigidly repeating parking policies is an acceptable response to a grieving family?** We have provided genuine proof of purchase and explained our circumstances. Yet neither MET nor McDonald's has been willing to meaningfully consider a goodwill cancellation. This is no longer simply about £60 or £100. **It is about how a major company treats customers when they are at their most vulnerable.** We are asking McDonald's senior management or the restaurant's franchise owner to review our case and request that MET Parking cancel this charge as a gesture of compassion.   Visited this mcdonalds this morning There was certainly nothing fast about the service we received. Took 20min to receive our order No milk with the teas Cappuccino had choc sprinkles When I asked for none The food did not look appetising to look at And did not taste the best

  Fast service, very accurate with my order and on a busy day like today, I had my food in around 5 mins. It was piping hot, order accurate and staff very helpful and friendly.
