  I had a very disappointing experience today while collecting an order from this Subway. I waited around 20 minutes because the order was not ready. I understood that the employee was working alone without any help, so I remained patient. However, while I was waiting, I contacted support because I could no longer wait any longer. I had to pick up my children from school, and if I had completed the delivery, I would not have arrived on time. Support cancelled the order for me. Just as the order became ready, I politely explained to the employee that I was very sorry but I could no longer take it because the order had already been cancelled. Instead of understanding the situation, she started shouting at me, saying that she had rushed to prepare the order and asking how I could refuse to take it. I calmly explained again that I had to collect my children from school, but she continued shouting and became increasingly aggressive. She had locked the entrance door because she couldn’t cope with more customers, and then she unlocked it only to make me leave. I genuinely felt like I was being thrown out of the shop. This behaviour was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. If the store has CCTV with audio, it will confirm exactly what happened. I understand that working alone is stressful, but that does not justify shouting at customers or delivery drivers who are simply explaining their situation.

  It's true, the staff aren't the friendliest, but come on, just because you can misbehave doesn't mean you have to. If I had to deal with some of the people they do I'd be miserable too, they've no idea what's coming through the door next. I don't know how they even sleep. If we as a society continue to abuse these services and the good work of their employees then they will eventually die out and we'll all have only online services left. Is that what you want to leave for your kids?
